I am a West Indian migrant who will forever carry the tropical sun in her veins and native rhythms in her hips. Yes, this blog is a tangible way for me to embrace my nostalgia, but it is also an earnest endeavour to learn more about the cultural heritage I strive to share with my children. It’s an opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the beautiful countries that constitute the Caribbean, and a medium through which I can celebrate the art, dance, literature, music, design, film, food and theatre that are woven into the region’s rich cultural tapestry.

So, whether you are from the Caribbean or elsewhere, came specifically to this site or merely stumbled upon it and decided to look around, I thank you for your visit. Hopefully Culturally Caribbean will become one of your regular stops.
